Those Texan politicians who didn’t vote with or side with President-elect Trump can kiss their careers good-bye.

Well, to his credit, he did the honorable thing and resigned in time to be replaced by an elector who will vote as the people have instructed.

"BIBLICALLY QUALIFIED" ?

Just WHERE, in our Constitution, is that qualification for being president listed? I've never seen it. Was it written in secret code or in invisible ink?

He’ll be replaced by an alternate.

If someone can’t vote for some reason, there’s an alternate to serve as an elector.

Yes, they can WHAT.....?

Cruz is very young so he has plenty of time to groom himself for the office of POTUS.

If your state elected Trump by its popular vote, it’s your responsibility to vote for him as someone who is allegedly representing the people who voted for him.

It’s not YOUR personal choice.

If that were the case, then why even bother with the election? Why not just have the electors decide who’s going to be president and avoid the whole election year mess?

this line in his letter

Of the hundreds of angry messages that I have received, not one has made a convincing case from scripture otherwise.

So it safe to assume the democrats that set in motion the phone/email threat campaign using the released database of electors is who he is referring to ?

It is good he chose to resign instead of caving to the angry messages and voting against his electorate.

"Allahpundit" still living in his "#NeverTrumpers are totally relevant" fantasy world.

At least the PUMAs had the good sense to fade away after the 2008 election.

Gotcha. Supreme Court.
Cruz is too young for that...only 45 years old. He needs a little "seasoning" time.

“He resigned, he said in a blog post, because he couldn’t square his pledge to vote for the winner of Texas’s election with his moral compulsion to vote only for candidates who are “Biblically qualified.””

And there we thought that only Muslims were this kind of stupid! Biblically qualified,” what a crock. We are electing a secular leader. Glad he’s gone, so he can get back to his “snake-handing duties” on Sunday.

Another putz hits the skids.

I have dropped the still BUTT HURT hotair.com from my *favorites*.

Not a single positive or supportive column on anything Trump can be found on this now solidly RINO site, who for so long posed as “conservative”.
