Nice; I will try the hot sauce next time.
I usually get a lg box of the KFC wedges/cottage fries, and after I come out of the ‘carb coma’, the leftovers get used as home fries - in duckfat - at breakfast with bacon, scrapple & eggs.

But I didn’t have the mousse.

Keep it covered clean and cool. I’m out of the chair and covering and putting about the leftovers before dessert is served. I just can’t help it.
The first time Mr. Mercat and I had his parents over for Thanksgiving he and I both were on the verge of throwing up all through the dinner. We must have not washed our hands properly while preparing the bird. No one else got sick and we managed to hold on but it was not pleasant.

“Could be. Always better to roast with an empty cavity.”
I always stuff. I much prefer the taste of stuffing to dressing. But, am always careful with the handling of all ingredients and always check the temperatures with my trusty thermometer.

My guess is that it was the potato salad.

"My guess is that it was the potato salad. The potato salad is always the first suspect. Always a gamble at a summertime cookout. Some of it's good in the sun all day long. Some of it has a half-life measured in minutes.
Chef's Secret: Add 1 tablespoon of Clorox to every cubic yard of potato salad. It'll knock down the bacteria levels and whiten teeth too.

No chance at my Thanksgiving. The Nephew hosted his first Thanksgiving and decided he would try his new Turkey fryer for the first time. After about 55 minutes I told him he really should pull that bird out and check the temp (He wasn't going to check it for another 10 minutes) 210 DEGREES in the Thigh, 200 in the breast and a few burnt skin areas. The dark meat was close to Turkey jerky, the breast surprisingly not to bad. Fortunately we had a Honey Baked ham as well, but the Turkey still got gobbled up.

Home made cornbread dressing at my house. Boil a chicken for the broth. Fresh cut veggies and seasonings.
If I tried anything else there would be revolt in my house lol.

Yeah, sounds like good stuff.
Been a few years since I used breadcrumbs. I used to pull broth out of the turkey pan.
