The democrat party accepted the clear and obvious results of the election. That made the far left angry because they were convinced of some massive conspiracy that gave the election to Trump. Jill Stein runs in and becomes the savior of the far left by giving voice to the conspiracy theorists and taking action by fundraising and demanding recounts. The democrat party realizes that they have lost their right flank to Trump and are in serious jeopardy now of losing their left flank to the Green Party. Knowing they can't afford to lose any more of the party, they quickly jump on the recount bandwagon to convince the far left they are "down for the cause" as well, but knowing it won't go anywhere. That's why democrats that don't have a dog in the fight like Obama, Biden, Nate Silver, Bernie Sanders etc. are rolling their eyes and saying its a waste of time...

I also believe that the WI recount will happen quickly and show little change. I don't think the PA recount even happens as I don't think she (Stein) can make a case there. Without PA, the whole exercise is academic.

I believe you are wrong, Jill Stein was forced/paid to initiate the recall movement so Hillary could step and say “Oh, well I guess I could use a recount too” and right now I’m not sure of the end-game. Some say to de-legitimatize Trumps victory, but that’s not it, there’s something bigger that we’re missing ...
