Washington (AFP) – President-elect Donald Trump and his top aides on Sunday doubled down on their criticism of Hillary Clinton’s camp for joining a vote recount in Wisconsin, terming the decision “ridiculous” and “a waste of time.”

With the recount threatening to revive debate about the legitimacy of Trump’s victory — Clinton won far more popular votes, while he carried the all-important Electoral College count — Trump aides pushed back hard on Sunday, even while continuing to wage an extraordinarily public battle over the makeup of the future cabinet.

In his latest early-morning Twitter storm, Trump quoted Clinton about the need to respect the electoral process, calling the presidential vote recount “sad.” It is time for people to accept the November 8 result and move ahead, he said on Saturday.

> Our society and our government are based upon checks and balances. Where do the checks and balances come in when the media become an arm of propaganda for a specific party or ideology? The media should also be held accountable.

The Truth in Reporting Act of 2017 has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

By all means. The media are just so happy to push ‘reforms’ of everything else in society, irrespective of how it affects the rest of us (e.g. Obamacare). It's about time they dealt with ‘reform’ and were on the receiving end of government legislative action and government regulation.

"Democrats are not in a position of power to get traction on this anytime soon."

True, but, they were not in a position to teach students their leftist lies 30 years ago and yet have managed to push our country their way. Constitutional conservatism must be a priority or in another 30 years the checks and balances our framers designed will be eroded further.

My point is that this recount is not about this election it's about sowing the seeds of doubt and discord that will lead to the, "popular vote" becoming accepted by the masses. The uniparty federalism must be constrained, not through populism but through the greatest wall ever constructed, THE CONSTITUTION!

“Stein’s request for recount should be dismissed on the basis that she lacks standing or at least has suffered no actual harm even in that she lacks any chance of securing election this way (a frivolous filing).”

is this why Hillary has jumped into the fray, in case anyone would suggest the Stein has no standing to pursue the recount, and then Hillary can glom onto the donations whether there is any chance of overturning the election results or not?
