So the MI SOS is Republican.

Rejection by SOS is likely then.

So then the lawsuit dragging this past the December EC count deadline, possibly disqualifying MI and 16 Trump EC votes.

It is a Hail Mary on the part of the demon rats, but still possible.

More likely, stein might disqualify enough EC votes to deny Trump 270, but Hillary needs to flip all three states without disqualifying any of them to get to 270. I don’t see a likely Hillary win, but I do see a lot of resentment aimed at democrats for the unnecessary chaos and poor sportsmanship.

I honestly don’t know anything about the election law in each of the 3 states or in general(have been reading about it on the various recount threads).

I thought this post by dsm69 was interesting:

“If somehow PA’s electoral votes don’t get counted, then the 270 electoral vote number gets lowered to 260 electoral votes needed for the presidency. The 12th Amendment states in part:

“The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed”

Since PA’s Elector’s weren’t “appointed” the number of voting electors drops from 538 to 518. Majority number would then be 260 Electoral Votes needed for election. This is why the dimrats in Florida 2000 where trying to stretch the recounts out as long as possible so that Florida could not have their electors vote in the electoral college vote. Al Gore would then have won when the 270 minimum electoral vote number would have dropped down to something like 258 had Florida’s electors not been able to cast their ballots.

If by some chance the Dems/Stein manage to get slow hand recounts going in all three states and play the delaying game enough that these states electoral votes (46 combined PA, MI and WI) are NOT able to be cast, then the new total number of “appointed” electors voting would be 492. The new Majority number needed to win the Electoral College would be 247 electoral votes needed for election.

If you take away the three states in question, Trump leads Clinton 260-232 in the Electoral College. Trump will still be the next president and win the majority of appointed electors, so just simply blocking these three states from casting electoral votes will not help Clinton or hurt Trump.

Only way Hillary will become POTUS from all this is if she steals PA (20 Electoral College votes) + either MI or WI and then blocks wither MI or WI from casting it’s electoral votes. Stealing MI + WI and blocking PA from casting electoral votes will not win her the presidency. Without these three states, Clinton trails Trump by 28 in the electoral college. Netting MI + WI and blocking PA would make it Trump 260 - Clinton 258. Trump would still win the presidency by one Electoral College vote.

Unless Stein/Clinton find the most corrupt, partisan judge in all Pennsylvania to hear Steins recount/election challenge request, if the judge simply follows Pennsylvania election law for recounts, they will have to reject her request”

It just seems wrong. It’s the recount that should be disqualified for not meeting the deadline. That would discourage these last minute attempts at chicanery. If they don’t finish the recount by the deadline, then the original vote should stand.
