You will hear some people today excuse Fidel Castros crimes by begging that he accomplished social goals. Canadas Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn have already beclowned themselves on that front. They were merely the first.
Our own President Barack Obama opted for washing his hands, choosing to neither praise Castro after his death Friday, nor to condemn the tragedy his communist dictatorship has inflicted on the Cuban people for 57 years. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him, said Obama playing Pilate.
No social accomplishment, to be sure, could justify keeping an entire people hostage, denying them the right to elect their own leaders or exercise any human rights for half a century. But there werent any accomplishments.
On the contrary, Castro destroyed a thriving society and imposed penury, either out of Marxist dogma or out of resentment that his out-of-wedlock birth had left him with a stigma among Cubas middle classes.

It's SUCH a shame too. I always wanted to visit Cuba. NOW, who cares? I THINK it's pretty much of a shambles.
The leftists have made a huge mistake.
For decades they have masqueraded as relatively normal people.
But now, by being candid as to their love for that monster, they have revealed their own monstrous mindsets.
I wish the Defense Department would turn over all the films of the Cuban swimmers who were murdered trying to get into Guantanamo Bay. Death by AK-47 buttstock was all-to-common.
The West is bereft of moral compass.
Perhaps the Trump DOD will do just that.
Will the US democrat party be throwing a Paul Wellstone syle memorial/pep-rally/political throw down for their lost Cuban comrade?
I’m hoping all the alternative media outlets we have today will continue to unmask the left. And what would we do without Julian Assange?
<< The West is bereft of moral compass. >>
That will change now that a new Law and Order Sheriff’s coming’ to town.
Sexlesstary of Snake Jean Fraude Kerry had this to say:
“We extend our condolences to the Cuban people today as they mourn the passing of Fidel Castro. Over more than half a century, he played an outsized role in their lives, and he influenced the direction of regional, even global affairs”

Wonder what Castro would have twitted if Trump had died.....
The culture war is ON like never before.
I believe the deplorables are ready for the next round.
That one thing about him is the entire reason why his statue is in the pantheon of the gods of the American Left.
Hemingway hailed Castros revolution as very pure and beautiful,' Fontova said. He was also a guest of honor at many of Che Guevaras firing squad massacres. Hemingway loved to watch Ches firing squads murder hundreds of Cubans. Hemingway would watch the massacres from a picnic chair while sipping Daiquiris.
A co-worker of mine is doing her master’s thesis in American Lit something to do with Hemingway. I will ask her about this on Monday. She’s a Trump supporter... will be interesting to find out if she knows this about her subject.
