Academy Sports has cans of 420 rounds of 5.56 on stripper clips for $190, if you need to spend some money on your own recount.

You can buy 100 rounds of .223 at Walmart for $37. Seems like a better deal.

I like keeping a couple cans of ammo that are on strippers. The rest of the time I go for the loose and cheaper ammo. Yeah, I could put the looose ammo on strippers, but that is very time-consuming and my own labor has value too.

Palmello State Armory, 200 x .223 delivered for $47.99. This weekend only AFAIK. Steel case Russian ammo, but not one misfire / ejection from 500 rounds sent through my buddies PSA built AR15 so far.
