Texas has the death penalty and uses it, but maybe not enough. We have a friend who’s daughter was murdered by her husband. He poured Drano down her throat and has been in jail for years. Every time he comes up for parole, we write a letter to the Parole Board telling them to not let him out.
Good for you, I stood out side Kroger’s and Walmart and gathered signatures on petitions, and had private letters printed up I got people to sign, then contacted Every GOP State Sen or Rep. No use contacting dems, they are pro criminal. Had petitions in businesses willing to put them out. Plus I had Parents of Murdered Children and Citizens Against Homicide helping. It is a reciprocal courtesy when their perp comes up for parole. I left no stone UN-turned.
Second hearing I had 2 State Reps and 1 State Sen go with me along with a print LSM. All you heard was VIP in House when they walked in. Head of Parole board was married to a Dem State Rep, who has passed on. Still head of Parole board though.
