I’m not going to say that I’m undocumented and unafraid. Not yet. Three weeks after the election, I still feel broken. I still feel the knife that America stabbed into my back. To so many in America, I was not worth anything. Disposable, replaceable. My work over the past 17 years meant absolutely nothing to them. The laws have not changed; the attitudes remain the same. The abuse will continue and will grow.

America stabbed you in the back??? Talk to your parents. Ask them why they came to this country illegally, and put you through all of this????

Whose fault is your situation, young lady?? It’s “America’s fault”, because America has immigration laws, which your family chose to violate???

Or is it your parents fault, for knowingly violating the immigration laws of a free and open society, and just hoping never to get caught and deported????

What gives your parents the right to just ignore America’s laws??? What would they say if Americans flaunted Chile’s laws in some area???
