No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State. ARTICLE I, SECTION 9, CLAUSE 8
Wait a minute! Since Hillary Clinton actually accepted emolument from foreign states while she was Secretary of State, doesn’t this mean that there is yet another reason to “LOCK HER UP!”?
Don’t be surprised if they claim it’s in the “emanations and penumbras”.
Presidents routinely accept gifts from foreign governments on behalf of the United States so its a non-issue.
I’m still looking to see where it says in the Constitution a President can’t run a business.
They make things up as they go along.
Shouldn’t that include the Nobel Peace prize?
Definition of emolument:
the returns arising from office or employment usually in the form of compensation or perquisites
That clause would apply to Hillary who did take money in large quantities from Foreign Governments for favorable treatment.
