Who saw this coming?
(By the way, if years had official questions, the official question of 2016 would be Who saw this coming?).
Anyway, the latest bit of 2016 shock and awe to come out of nowhere is that Starbucks will have cups featuring the Nativity this Christmas season. Yes, that Nativity with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.
Check it out here.
So, just another 2016 crazy almost miracle-type thing to wonder at.
Oh tidings.
I also don’t trust pharmaceuticals. It’s far too common for some cure for something as simple as toenail fungus, for example, with side effect lists a mile deep, many of which are potentially fatal
Well, I always thought that 8 O’Clock Coffee hit above its weight. I’ll give Community a try.
However, I truly thank God several times a day for all I, my family, friends, and this country have physically and spiritually. I had faith that Trump would win because I didn't believe the plan was for many good people to be abandoned to the leftists.
I hope this close call will renew the faith of this country and those who were losing it. I don't know how many chances we will get to move back to the ideals and faith that started this country.
Don’t I know it, I know you were not being insensitive, just didn’t have all the facts.
My reaction list makes heads spin and ER won’t put the whole thing in the computer. I’ve even grouped several types as 1. To top the drugs I’m also sea food allergic.
All drugs have to be compatible with Synthyroid.
I need an increase in one med and DUMBO says I can’t have it. Granny has to go to Pain Management and pee in a bottle every month now. $300 co-pay. Valium two 10 mg doses, it controls the nerve damage pain. You’d think I’d asked for the moon, all I wanted was 1 extra 10 mg. Got told we’d write you Lyrica, Neurontin, or Cymbalta, they have like 300 side effects. 1 pill is a ER trip for those meds with heart attack symptoms. I have an Enlarged Heart with a to small to fix leaky valve. I don’t need those kind of ER trips. Docs are afraid of prison if they write common pain drugs now for more than 2 weeks.
What’s an “OP drug”?
Well, the plan also (I bet a dozen holy donuts) was that many, many people would pray, and that their groans would come to the ears of God. America didn’t earn anything here. Groans came from both Christendom and Judaica because enough evil was turned loose to frighten them all.
And the result was to raise up an improbable billionaire to deliver, apparently, America, and to a lesser extent the modern world. I wonder about a possible connection (illustrational truth) in the bible verse “He was with a rich man in His death.” Some of the riches that were released when Christ died were entrusted to Donald Trump, a man who to all known testimony is barely religious.
It is when people are groaning that they are in best touch with the reality about where the fall of humanity has left them. It’s a tragedy, not something for people to be proud of. They don’t deserve, or merit, or earn a salvation, let alone kudos from heaven about where they are now.
“God so loved the world” is the beginning and end of the story. But God gave the world permission to hate if it adamantly insisted. Love could not be love — it would only be a mechanical puppet show — if this permission were not granted. God never promised the results would be pleasant if the permission were taken. There might even be a kind of “happiness” in hell, the “happiness” of upbraiding God forever in a tooth gnashing rage for what is its own fault, with the support of Satan. But it’s not going to burden anybody else in heaven.
As for “Arabica” coffee. I’m pretty sure that’s even older than Islam. Before being overrun by Islam, there was a fair representation of Christendom in Araby, and even now it has a remnant. I hate it — and so does God, by His own testimony — when evil groups steal away the goodness that God put into things. We get “liberals” who are illiberal. We get “gay people” who are addicted to the grimmest sexual and social abuses. We get “Arab” which the world thinks of as Muslim. (Arab Christians would say excuse us, that’s not quite completely true yet.)
We take "refugees" from Syria who are largely muzzlems, but the Christians are the true refugees and we take in very few.
Arab is an oversimplification.

After reading the warnings still want to take the crap? NOT ME! 2 bad reactions to a low dose of Fosamax was enough to know I didn’t want anything to do with them, and after I researched them I knew I wouldn’t take them.

I don’t care what they put on their cups or in it, I’m not going. Starbucks made the decision to market to what they consider the cool kids (liberals with money who sit in there for half a day, faces in their Macbooks, slurping their free wifi along with whatever candy drink they’ve ordered) and make them happy by kicking normal people in the face at every opportunity.
In my town, there was a veteran who was trying to start up a franchise and Starbucks just treated him like crap (”We don’t want our name associated with one of THOSE people!”). OK fine, Starbucks, you made your decision now frickin’ live with it. It’s actually a bigger insult to pander to me.
No joke. I’ll brew my own for 1/10th the price—and it’s better.
