The campaign for Green Party candidate Jill Stein surpassed its goal late Thursday night to raise $4.5 million in an attempt to have recounts in three battleground states -- Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania -- to address concerns about the election before it is certified.
But once the $4.5 million goal was reached, the campaign upped the goal to $7 million.
Stein and her running mate, Ajamu Baraka, initially said they hoped to raise over $2.5 million -- the money needed to fund recounts in the three states -- by Friday, the deadline to file in Wisconsin. By Thursday morning, that goal was met, with more than $2.6 million raised.
And as of 11:30 p.m. ET Thursday, $4,518,050.49 had been raised, according to the campaign website.
Stein told CNN on Thursday she "absolutely" intends to file for a recount in Wisconsin.
"What I think all Americans can agree on, and what I consider worthy of working for right now, is creating a voting system that we can trust. There are glaring red flags right now about this voting system," said Stein, who points to unsubstantiated claims that electronic voting machines might have been hacked or manipulated.
"What we are saying is not that hacking or fraud has necessarily taken place. I don't think we have evidence of that. But I think it's only natural and it's good for Americans to be reassured that our votes are counted, especially after such a divisive and bitter election," Stein said on Thursday.

Relax people... The Dems will crush this. They DO NOT WANT a serious look at the voting machines because it will show a major shift of votes to Hillary.
Everyone knows this. The Democrats consider voter fraud to be a legitimate electoral tactic. But it only works if it’s done in the dark. Trump with all of his “RIGGED” talk, scared the cockroaches away.
In a lot of areas, they were too afraid to go after Trump voters because people in a district know each other, etc. But I would not put it past the Hillary minions at all to say to themselves, “Hey, we need a progressive to win, Jill is a progressive... She’ll understand why we have to swipe her votes. We must STOP TRUMP”.

Who was talking about the bot that was funding this the other day? Started tracking the donations per minute, etc? How did their prediction come out based on estimated time to fund?
I think by now, 85% of Wisconsin’s adult population have about had it with recounts.

This is silly. Both Wisconsin and Michigan use paper ballots. Running them through the optical scanners again will result is about the same results all over again. Pennsylvania uses a combination of paper ballots and ancient voting machines -- but under state law it's somewhere between impossible and extremely difficult to get a statewide recount. The ancient PA voting machines really can't be recounted at this late date -- there IS no paper trail.

Trump the states that Hillary stole, New Hampshire (same day registration, bused in from Boston), Nevada (filled to the brim with SEIU illegals) and Minnesota + Maine (filled with Somali’s who cheat and steal).
Heck, even New Mexico, Colorado and Oregon were close.
Trump should demand recounts and investigations in ALL those states.

All I can fathom is that they are begging for a judge to shut this thing down so they can claim “selected, not elected” like they did with Bush.
Getting control of the illegal immigration mess is step one. But I also expect a national voter ID law will be passed and be in effect for the 2018 midterms.
That may soon be history.
