5 apr. 2015 - Anyone who has witnessed BDS in action will be in no doubt that it is anti-Semitic. But there is a case to be made that BDS is not just anti-Semitic, it is racist. Why? Because it singles out a nationality – Israelis – for differential and discriminatory treatment in the international arena. Israelis are expected to conform to an impossibly high moral standard that would endanger their well-being. When Israelis inevitably fall short of these impossible standards, they are accused of indefensible behaviour. In contrast, the Palestinian Arabs are not held up to any standard at all. That too is racist.
No other nation in the world is singled out for criticism the way Israel is. Israel is condemned for human rights abuses even when such allegations are proved to be untrue (e.g. Jenin). It is accused of ethnic cleansing when Jewish neighbourhoods are built in east Jerusalem. It is dubbed an apartheid state even though Israeli Arabs have full voting rights. It is accused of being an occupier even though Jews had lived in Judea and Samaria for hundreds of years before they were evicted by the Jordanians. Israel is accused of doing nothing to promote peace when in actual fact it is the Palestinian Arabs who have turned down the opportunity for statehood on numerous occasions.

Everyone just needs to take a breath and let Trump make his picks. He has proven to be pretty smart. He has also shown throughout his campaign and during the transition that he is willing to change horses.

I expect that his cabinet picks will be loyal or they will be shown the door. He did not build his business allowing his employees to thwart him - why would he build his Presidency like that?

Well Hell! At least she is not in charge of immigration. Goals at Dept of Education should be no common core, encourage charter schools and vouchers for private education, and abolish DOE. If she can stick to that, maybe she’ll be OK. (No wonder she got sacked in SC - too bad they didn’t take Linda out with the trash also).

Crap. I am mixed up. I guess she is UN Ambassador. Of course she only does what Trump and SOS tell her to do. In the case of Obama’s WH it was ValJar’s surrogate.

Posted this in an earlier thread about Haley's appointment but I'll state it again: Quick, without Googling, who is the current U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.?

Count me among those who has 'watched' our President-elect long enough to know that he's one of the smartest men alive. His taking Haley out of South Carolina's top spot is another WIN for Trump -and all of us. She can do no harm at the moribund U.N. but when she vacates the Ambassadorship her name will be unrecognizable in ever-shifting political circles and the "rising star" reputation she currently enjoys as SC's Governor will be a distant (and unressurectable) memory. IMHO, of course.

UN position can give her a jumping board further...
