Coler is a soft-spoken 40-year-old with a wife and two kids. He says he got into fake news around 2013 to highlight the extremism of the white nationalist alt-right.
"The whole idea from the start was to build a site that could kind of infiltrate the echo chambers of the alt-right, publish blatantly or fictional stories and then be able to publicly denounce those stories and point out the fact that they were fiction," Coler says.

When did you notice that fake news does best with Trump supporters?
Well, this isn't just a Trump-supporter problem. This is a right-wing issue. Sarah Palin's famous blasting of the lamestream media is kind of record and testament to the rise of these kinds of people. The post-fact era is what I would refer to it as. This isn't something that started with Trump. This is something that's been in the works for a while. His whole campaign was this thing of discrediting mainstream media sources, which is one of those dog whistles to his supporters. When we were coming up with headlines it's always kind of about the red meat. Trump really got into the red meat. He knew who his base was. He knew how to feed them a constant diet of this red meat.
We've tried to do similar things to liberals. It just has never worked, it never takes off. You'll get debunked within the first two comments and then the whole thing just kind of fizzles out.

Then we’re at variance, as you put it, I can’t feed everyone, but every time there’s a reason to go to the polls, here, there’s a ballot initiative for a levy, or a bond measure, or something to take more money I work for, and give it to the public sector pigs who just can’t get enough cream and apples.
What makes you think some kind of change in “mission statement” is going to make these tax-funded pukes fail to realize that they are at odds with me and the rest of America? Where do you think these Hillary fanatics come from?
Fairwell, then. I think I know where you are coming from.
I am hopeful that Donald Trump, not being from and in Government his whole life knows where America’s prosperity comes from and that things can improve.
You have failed to communicate to me any need to continue the unconstitutional funding of Government propaganda through NPR and PBS. This election has brought much of this to the public eye, which is the reason for my original posting on this subject. Perhaps this, and other abuses of the providers of America’s prosperity can be reversed, even without your help.
Dan Ratherbiased ran with some fake memos on SeeBS News.
Time-Lies-HBO just did a biopic to say he was wronged for getting canned for faking news.
Newspapers photoshop 2 images to make news photos.
Debate questions are given to Hillary before townhalls/debates.
Journolist members colluded to give the illusion of an objective press freely questioning politicians on the Left.
Fake fake fake.
FUNPR
SNL is fake news too. “I can see Russkies from mah house!”
So hes the journolista equivalent of a hate crime faker.
I had to look it up. The definition in a sentence is hilarious.
“A southern colloqial for a severe case of pubic crabs.
The bitch’s crotch crickets were so bad, her gynocologyst had to call Orkin”.

I was one who fell for the Denver Guardian story for a few minutes - didn’t do my due diligence to discover that they had an entry form where anyone can post anything, which no reputable newspaper would have.
Free Republic gets these stories because we trust our readers to catch them and pull them. Still, for the few minutes they survive, someone could screenshot Free Republic and embarrass us. All part of the dirty tricks squad.
Good stuff
That's why I've asked that the titles be modified.
It's normal for satirical articles to be labeled as [SATIRE]. It's also customary to add [BARF ALERT] to certain articles that are cringe-worthy.
By putting [HOAX] in the title, it remains -- but is quickly identifiable as fake. And, if someone does a title search, they find the article -- and don't repost it again.
Had one doctor and her husband treat us that way at Thanksgiving. Treats us as if we are the Griswolds from the movie Christmas vacation. To be specific, I think I've got the cousin Eddie slot. LOL.
Being doctors gives them messianic complexes, and we should just live with their pronouncements on life and death. Effm.
Either they are, A) Wrong and therefore deluded, or B) Correct, meaning they got steamrolled with the worst example of Karmaic backlash they've ever seen. Heh heh!
The relevant timeline of this story, if you can believe those parts, goes like this:
Like I said, major Karma Backlash if it's true. I wish it were, but have my doubts.
In particular, his laughably false claim that he didn't do a mirror site for HRC supporters because HillaryBots are too smart to be taken in by Fake News, a claim not challenged by the NPR reporter I notice, calls into question the believability of anything he or the reporter says.
