Even if they voted to leave (and they won't), I think we saw already in U.S. history how the federal government responds to anything thinking they can leave. Their position is essentially:

Let ‘em learn. Don’t take ‘em back. NO funding of any kind. Hell half the state is reportedly Mexican anyway. See how long they want to keep it when the figure out just how expensive it is...lol

And if they secede, we will need to build another wall to keep them out when they discover thy cannot support themselves without billions upon billions of “free money”....
