Hillary thought her campaign war chest, her allies in the media, and Obama’s support would make the race a cake walk. But then Bernie happened. He stuck around much longer than expected and caused her to expend money and energy to defeat him. And then Trump’s brand of populism caught on and suddenly her comfortable lead evaporated. Again, this caused her to expend more money and energy. She didn’t run out of money but she ran out of energy and failed to make visits to key states in the end. She flat out lost because she was too complacent and underestimated the effort required to win.

Given the populous states of California and New York, winning the popular vote was never really in question. Trump was never going to bring in more votes than she did. He did, however, capture the states he needed to win. That’s how the game is played.

The team that brings in the most fans doesn’t win. The team that puts the most points on the board does.

Also, Hillary’s sycophants were painting the rosiest picture imaginable for her. She fell for the spin meant for her opponents.

When Leslie Stahl interviewed TRUMP; he stated that IF the
RULES had been the popular vote, he WOULD HAVE STILL WON
as he would have campaigned in a different manner to
accommodate the popular vote rule. He played by the rules.
