From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, weve come under constant assault
Since being featured in a viral fake news story about Hillary Clinton, the owner of a Washington, D.C. pizza restaurant said the threats he and his business have received are endless.
A fake story published before the presidential election accused the restaurant, Comet Ping Pong, of being part of a child abuse ring led by Clinton and her campaign chairman, John Podesta, the New York Times reported. The entire story was false.
But in the weeks since the story appeared, restaurant owner James Alefantis has received hundreds of threatening messages and phone calls from people who believed the story to be true.
From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, weve come under constant assault, Alefantis told the Times. Ive done nothing for days but try to clean this up and protect my staff and friends from being terrorized.
The prevalence of fake news on the internet has recently been hotly debated, amid questions about whether the spread of fake news stories might have helped Donald Trump win the presidential election.
Alefantis was a Clinton supporter, but he said he has never met her. The speculation about Comet Ping Pong began when Alefantis appeared in an email to Podesta, discussing a fundraiser for Clinton, the Times reported. Podestas email account was hacked and published by WikiLeaks in the months leading up to the election.
The conspiracy theory, dubbed Pizzagate, has continued to spread among adamant believers online.
Its endless, Alefantis said.
Well, that certainly settles it. Another fact free refutation.
The article fails to mention the bizarre online presence of Comet Pizza which fed the ‘conspiracy theories.’
* The Instagram Account. Post those photos and ask for explanation.
* The Heavy Breathing band / Majestic Ape bizarre posts.
* The artists who did posters for the bands playing there and displayed in the shop.
* Why a guy who owns a pizza joint was listed as one of the most 50 Powerful People in Washington, D.C.
I fully believe that our Washington elites are mixed-up in a global child sex abuse ring.
Whether or not this guy’s pizza joint is part of it is a sidebar issue.
Fake but accurate?
So they were just delivering pizza to the fundraiser? This is a non-story minus the facts.
They are conveniently refusing to post any of the sick tweets this creep put online
even his name says, in french, that he loves infants.
what is the co-incidence?
This article is effin FAKE NEWS. They get the story wrong (strawman) and do not bother to mention any of the grotesqe stuff discovered about these characters.
#fakenews
It’s killing his business... Then again, his sales of ‘real’ pizza products has likely increased in comparison to last years sales.
IMHO the only thing people inside the Beltway learned from Watergate was to become much more proficient at the cover-up.
What I find interesting is that “Fortune” is putting this cover story out for these people.
And hopefully, so will the investigations.
Keyword: FAKE NEWS.
Does this tie in to the McCann investigation?
This is the new birtherism. It will be derided and used to marginalize. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, but none will be forthcoming.
Whose boyfriend is David Brock, who has close ties to the Clintons and the rest of the cesspool in DC.
.
Yes, we need to use that constantly so we can gather all these examples of Jackboot Journalism.
