Hours after scolding TV-news executives in a meeting, president-elect Donald Trump decided to make a brief address Monday on YouTube updating the nation on where his transition efforts stand.
In one of the few appearances he has made in the two weeks since he defeated Hillary Clinton for the U.S. presidency, Trump devoted the two-and-a-half-minute clip to an overview of his priorities, from interviewing cabinet members to his policy plans in the first 100 days.
He emphasized his intent to bring back more jobs to the country. Thats what we want and thats what weve been waiting for, Trump said in what appeared to be a scripted speech.
In recent weeks, Trump has been criticized for not maintaining a high-enough profile beyond some controversial tweets and an interview in The Wall Street Journal. He is scheduled to meet Tuesday with executives and editors from the New York Times.
That he chose to make his videotaped comments on YouTube also comes as some surprise considering he has maintained a more active presence on Twitter, which can also support live and taped video. Trump also made much use of Facebook during his presidential campaign, to the point where his video efforts on that platform were widely considered to be a beta version of an anticipated Trump TV channel.

F the msm!!! Love it.
Exactly! on the White House website, or let’s come up with a conservative social media platform.
You probably won’t get a whole lot about the meeting except from the one article published by the New York Post. The meeting was supposed to be off-record so there was no cameras, etc. You won’t get a quote from a named source.

Nice!
Ha! Love it!!
As others have said he will have the WH website soon enough.
However, if Youtube (aka Google) decides to restrict President Trump I think they will have a real problem on their hands. Even liberals would be hopping mad about that because Youtube would be taking away their opportunity to hammer away at him. The backlash would be epic.
This was Trump demonstrating one of his many big guns to the msm. He did not “decide to do it after his meeting today...” This video was a demonstration and was planned out before the meeting took place. He also purposely made them jump by summoning them on short notice. In some kinds of dog training, this is called “snapping the leash”.
Trump placed the video on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.
F google youtube. Go straight to liveleak.com
YouTube’s automated follow-on to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCabT_O0YSM
Goes back to 1980.
I presume he told the press executives today that Youtube videos would continue until they became more fair in their coverage.
No wonder the MSM execs thought the meeting was a total disaster.
Wait a second . . . Wasn’t he supposed to do this in front of the White House Press Corp??
