Yes he did.

And he would have gotten more judges appointed had McCain not sold them out when they were ready to excercise the nuclear option. Anyone remember the “Gang of 8” compromise? When asked why he did it in the face of unprecedented democrat obstruction McCain said it was because they didn’t want the democrats to do it to them if the shoe were on the other foot.

Fast forward to when the shoe was on the other foot and that is exactly what Reid did. McCain was eerily silent.

Bottom line, we all have high hopes for Mr. Trump but the broken institution that is the Senate will sabotage him at every step. He must be prepared to name names and push for passage of his key agenda points through reconciliation.

Even yesterday Schumer was up to his usual tricks of using the word “mainstream” and wishcasting that Trump really won because he embraced the democrat agenda. Typical, “hey, we really didn’t lose but won” Jedi mind trick garbage that only week minded fools like McCain fall for.

We’ve been picking up State Legislatures, Governorships, city councils - - down to dog catchers.

It’s not just the House, Senate and Presidency. It’s everything. People are sick of democrats...across the board. Sick to death of them.

Yes but no one could tell thanks to Karl Rove and his/their "new tone".

Not quite. There was a 50-50 tie in the Senate after the 2000 election but the Vermont Senator, Jim Jeffords, defected from (R) to (I) and caucused with the Dems. Four years later the GOP finally won the Senate outright. But 20 months later they lost the House. So W dud not have a majority for very long.

Yes, after Bush was re-elected in 2004, the next Congress had Republican majorities in both houses...for two years.

After Eisenhower's first election, the Republicans controlled the Senate (48-47-1) and the House...for two years.
