Our local school board is an embarrassment. They keep "losing" millions of dollars into that black hole. Meanwhile, their building looks like the Taj Mahal, while kids are dropping out of HS at an alarming rate.
For sure NN.
When indoctrination becomes the goal instead of education and history needs a re-write you know your kids are in deep trouble.
Next gotcha is on the Trump business and separating it from the presidency. Trump meets with India business partners, Japan premier, etc. "Huge cauldron of potential conflicts of interest." Tapper asks if Trump has any concerns about being involved in pay-to-play politics? Priebus says Trump is trying to pull Americans together, see meetings with Romney, Cruz.
On to Jeff Sessions. DEMs have criticized him, and he has been accused but denied making racist statements. On policy, Lynch has found systemic racism, but Sessions calls this an abuse of federal authority. Does this mean that under sessions there will not be similar accusations? Priebus says that is up to sessions to answer. As for sessions live, he fought Wallace, voted for Holder, etc. Tapper insinuates that sessions would not intervene in claims of federal civil rights violations. Priebus says some of the interventions are probably righteous, others are not.
On to Michael Flynn, is the official policy of the Trump administration that fear of Muslims is rational? Priebus answer is essentially "no," reiterates the policy statements.
On to sanctuary cities. Uses city of Los Angeles as example. LA got half a billion dollars last year. Will that be cut off? Will if be cut off on day one? Priebus says it's a matter of negotiation, but it is not a good idea to allow a city to ignore federal law and then get half a billion dollars. In a similar vein, will the 700,000 DREAMERS have their status changed? They are in the country illegally, but brought as children. Priebus says they aren't a priority for deportation, and how we are going to deal with this has not been decided.
Martha Raddatz on ABC also interviewing Priebus. I jumped in on the subject of Flynn and his remarks about Muslims.
Will Trump suspend all immigration from certain countries, like Saudi Arabia, France. Priebus says details of the policy will be announced later, but we will temporarily suspend immigration from countries and regions that involve terrorist training, etc. Raddatz reiterates "France?" Priebus says this is not a new debate.
Pompeio and waterboarding - will there be a request for rescinding of the law that forbids waterboarding? Priebus deflects to the quality of person, as well as Trump opening up to previous opponents (Romney, Cruz).
Raddatz on the sessions and his past racially disparaging comments, and she names opposition for an assortment of minority groups. Priebus says look at all of Sessions' life, he's fought desegregation lawsuits, fought to get a Congressional Medal for Rosa Parks, even the people who voted against him 30 years ago says they regret voting against him. It is wrong to judge him based on phrasing of one thing he may have said wrong.
Raddatz wonders about investigation of Clinton, will Sessions pursue, will Trump order it?
Flipped over to NBC, which is insinuating that the Trump administration is racist (alt-right).
Also on the subject of conflict of interest, which is contrary to "drain the swamp."
A wasteful and "in your face" monument to themselves. Whatever taxpayer money the educRATs don't waste on lavish unneeded infrastructure, they give directly back to the campaigns of fully programmed and dependable RAT politicians.
A tidy and historic racket which desperately needs to be busted and killed.
