Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of Hamilton tonight in New York City.
Pence was harassed by the audience… AND the cast..
The audience booed when he entered the theater. (many also cheered)
Then at the close of the performance the lead actor Brandon Dixon insulted the vice president-elect.
Actor Brandon Dixon lectured the new Vice President-elect on “tolerance.”
“Vice President elect Pence we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton the American musical. We really do. We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us.”
Seriously?
On Saturday morning President-elect Donald Trump defended Mike Pence and told the Hamilton cast to apologize.
“Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing.This should not happen!”
“The Theater must always be a safe and special place.The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!”
Or Paul Robeson in Showboat. You didn’t have to like his politics to appreciate his baritone delivery.
As corny as it sounds, a public call from a POTUS to apologize for a clear and public breach of decency...as universally recognized by other decent people of all backgrounds...carries some moral gravity.
The left has a very serious public perception problem concerning decorum, manners, violence and lawlessness. This only drives more people away from them and their politicians.
New York City is ground zero for post-modern leftist group-think. It seems a paradox that such a “cosmopolitan” city should have such a uniformity and conformity of views - but it is absolutely the case.

The fact that President Trump would defend his Vice President already puts him head and shoulders over President George W. Bush because he never defended his Vice President or his administration.

Since Bush never defended our sovereignty or borders during war time, why would anyone expect Bush to defend his VP or his decisions?

Had that cast member said something like that to a liberal politician I’ll bet he would have been fired.

These people want tolerance, and respect, and yet never give any of that to those with whom they disagree.
My answer to this is don’t go see it. My answer to Hollyweird is don’t go to their worthless movies & I have held firm for plus two decades. BTW I have no regrets.
Boycott all theater for a year. See if they like being unemployed. Perv arrogant twits.
