I was a bar back or a beer slinger in the clubs I worked in. Never did bother to learn how to mix drinks.

The one where I worked longest is where I was a bar back. Being almost 6 feet tall came in handy many times. The room where I washed the glasses was next to the stage and the bar was at the other side of the club. On really crowded nights, I couldn’t carry a rack of clean glasses in front of me because people couldn’t move to get out of the way. I’d hoist it over my head and being skinny, I could slither between everyone. LOL

Hard work but so much fun. Met a lot of nice people and got to meet the bands. I’m still in touch with one of the bartenders I worked with and heard from him tonight via email. Been reminiscing about the good old days ever since. :-)

Sorry I missed this post earlier, radu!
You are almost 6 feet tall?
Wow!
*sigh*
I am always the last one to know when it’s raining!
LOL
