Smoot Hawley is a lie and a myth perpetuated by zealot globalist Free Traitors™ to silence all movements for the USA to enforce some sane protectionist polices before the USA completely de industrializes. By taking just a causal glance at the statistics from 1932, anyone can see that the USA was almost 100% self sufficient in manufacturing. International trade making up only 4% of the economy (GDP) at the time. So Smoot Hawley couldn't have affected the GD that much because it only affected a tiny sliver of total economic activity.
