I agree. The woman in my life goes easy on cosmetics, just a bit here and there. Of course I think she’s beautiful no matter what. :)
But, seems to me if someone is clean and has clean hair and clean clothes, their appearance will be fine.
My wife is beautiful and other than a small bit of occasional eyebrow liner, she has never worn makeup. We met when she was 20. We recently celebrated our 45th anniversary. Some women present well with or without makeup, some not so much.
It depends on your features. If you have dark, or even just visible, eye lashes, fuller lips and even skin tone then makeup isn’t essential. But invisible eyelashes, thin pale lips and blotchy pale skin call for enhancement.
Just my opinion based on years of observation.
