“Interesting. I’m confused, though.”

Oh, yes, I can see that.

“1. How far on your Reality Continuum does one have to travel to be considered in NutWing-free territory?”

Are you really confused enough to apply the concept of distance to a spiritual continuum? This is a conceptual model, not a map of an interstate.

“Or rather, to be in “Godly” territory? Just a little? A lot? And how do we measure this? It’s not like GPS coordinates will help.”

As Charles Caleb Colon wrote, “He that is good, will infallibly become better, and he that is bad, will as certainly become worse; for vice, virtue and time are three things that never stand still.” Just concentrate on becoming better, and let God take care of the silly questions.

“2. If the right is Godliness, who gets to decide how far a person must go right on the Reality Continuum before being considered Godly”

A Godly person is not concerned with being “considered Godly.” We all have further to go, no matter our current state. As I wrote, it is not possible to get far enough to the right.

“Is that something I get to decide? My neighbors? My fellow right-wingers?”

Things like this are not “decided,” and you don’t strive to please God out of concern for the opinions of your fellow men. God sees. That is enough.

“I don’t want to be a Nutter, so maybe I need to reconsider my current spot on the continuum.”

We all need to think about our current state, all the time. That said, speaking of a “spot on the continuum” may have value to mockers, but it is ridiculous to the sincere.

“With whom should I speak to determine my current position?”

Find a good priest. Or, if you are able, study the matter in depth on your own. Read the Bible, and then commentaries by smarter, wiser, holier men to correct your inevitable errors. Start by starting.

“3. When does a person begin traveling on this Satan vs. God Reality Continuum? At birth? When he develops a conscience and the awareness of moral equivalence? The day after his 18th birthday?”

Life begins at conception. As a “right winger,” you should understand that. Of course, the pre-born don’t make many moral choices, that we know of.

“4. Where is the starting point on this Reality Continuum? If it’s a continuum, there must be a starting point at which each person begins his life journey.”

It is not necessary that we should know where we started, nor would there seem to be any way to know. It would seem logical to suppose that we are all innocent at conception.

“Is your starting point the same as mine? You know.. in the beginning, whenever that is.”

Who cares? What, are you going to sue God if you started further to the left than someone else? Are you going to curse God and die if it’s harder for you to resist temptation than for other people? And how would you determine that, anyway?

William L. Brown wrote, “The attempt to make God just in the eyes of sinful men will always lead to error.” I have no idea if things are “fair.” It would seem that some people have harder lives than others. Is that “unfair?” One thing I will guarantee you: if there seems to be a problem with God, it’s on your end. Or mine.

“5. And how far to the left can a person travel before reaching the level of Satan?”

Again, who cares? That’s not a line one flirts with. You lift your eyes to God and do the best you can. When you fall, you ask forgiveness, take lessons learned on board, and set out again.

“Does Satan camp out on this continuum, waiting to lure people into his snare of Dumbass-Moderates-Who-Took-A-Wrong-Turn-Somewhere-So-Now-They’re-Gonna-Fry-In-Hell?”

Thank you for the opportunity to practice patience. I wish, though, that you could at least mock what is here, rather than weaving your own straw men to attack.

Satan roams the world like a ravening lion, seeking whom he may devour. So yes, he is always trying to lure people into his snares. Your implication, though, is that God sends people to Hell unjustly, or for trivial reasons.

That’s just puerile. The only people who believe that…no, let me rephrase: The only people who believe that Christians believe that are the God-haters, the mockers. That notion is no part of Christianity.

“6. Does this mean we should be telling our liberal relatives they need to do a complete 180 degree turn, because if they don’t, they’ll never see the Land of Milk and Honey?”

The land of milk and honey was the promised land of the Jews, not Heaven.

Correcting for that, yes, you certainly should be telling your liberal relatives they need to do a complete 180 degree turn, because if they don’t, they’ll spend eternity cut off from God.

All leftist thought, from the limousine liberalism of a George Clooney to the murderous horrors of Mao, Stalin, and Pol Pot, is of and from Satan. Leftism is a contaminant in the human cognosphere, not a natural component of it.

Satan is smarter than we are, and he never sleeps. Those over whom he has the most influence are like maniacally evil energizer demons.

Every once in a while one of them escapes, as David Horowitz did, but who knows how or why?

Anyway, Satan knows that leftism is bad for humanity. That’s why he invented it, and that’s why he flim-flams those he can into trying to force it on us all.

Ok, I appreciate your sincere effort, I really do. But nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are on solid Scriptural ground by judging the political leanings of our fellow man. You can do that all you want and label it whatever you want, but you may as well be putting yourself up on a pedestal while you’re at it.

It’s not our right to judge another person’s salvation by looking at their political leanings. Do so at your own peril, but sin is sin. Judging your fellow man is just as sinful as any sin you may be thinking that a Democrat-leaning person is committing.

Pardon my bluntness. I’ve just never met anyone who claimed that a person’s salvation is dependent on his political viewpoints. Just wow.

Have a great weekend. I really don’t have anything else to say about this.
