>>We do not want fewer military personnel,<<
I’m thinking you didn’t read my entire post.
We're probably reading each other's posts just fine while failing to read each other's minds. Let's refocus on policy and what we know. This is from Trump Oct. 22. 2016
....on the first day of my term of office, my administration will immediately pursue... ...a hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health)...
We probably already agree that this sounds nice and we should also understand that there's no mention of just how much it will affect FY 17 budg. spending. That's the problem, there's no info on what's up ahead and what we got is a chance to make suggestions on what we do want.
I'm asking. How about we cut the debt and prepare for soaring outlays for debt interest by ending baseline budgeting and slashing spending for HHR and SSA. From what I can see raising tax rates (including Trump's proposed tax hikes on imports) will cut revenue.
