Kim Dotcom is launching a platform that could be modified to challenge both Twitter and Google.

Alt-Right new media is where all the growth and excitement is taking place... purging your system of all alt-right users is a dumb move that creates a huge opening for a smart entrepreneur.

They could turn themselves into the new “MySpace”

There is nothing so powerful as a new, better idea :-)

Stupid is as stupid does.

Facebook wasn’t a better idea than Myspace. As Myspace was sold to Newscorp (who’s execs endorsed John F. Kerry in 2004, but is also parent company to Fox News), they lowered the age of registration from 18 to 13 and increased the amount of advertising onscreen and in newsfeed.

Much of the trending jump to Facebook was driven by a hatred of Newscorp (who’ve since sold Myspace). I can tell you that even libs and transvestites aren’t happy with Facebook today. You can have a long established account and be forced to change your account name to match the name on your identification that you confirm with them (or face having a locked account until compliance).

Facebook has dramatically increased the amount of advertising and has admitted to engaging in subtle psychological experiments (messing with what content appears in your newsfeed from friends as well as tracking and pushing ‘trending’ news items).

People are over facebook and it isn’t the website interface that has them upset. When the frustration/outrage reaches critical mass, people will leave it too.

Myspace (before the selloff and redesign of the website) had become a “promotion” site where everyone was sending out promotional (event related) posts and no one was reading them or responding to them.

Myspace was not the first such site, Friendster preceded it. Facebook was the one that a certain older age of adults joined (and thus an exodus of younger demographics who didn’t want to be linked to extended family).
