“EPA needs to disappear, along with Education, Energy, and DHS by June of next year.”

I agree 100%, but DHS is the one that has me concerned about an instant dismissal since that could be a political hot topic. If we, God forbid, get hit with a terrorist attack, the libs will HOWL that breaking up DHS is the root cause despite any evidence contrary. That particular department has to be a phased stand down with a crystal clear plan laid out before the public.

The others shouldn’t be too, too difficult ...

I think wiping out EPA, Energy, and Education as we know it wouldn’t take much convincing. There are so many frigging redundancies at the state level that it’s maddening to have an “even bigger big one” at the Fed level. The Fed level should be more of an arbiter and not some massive bureaucracy.

EPA needs to be scaled down and folded into the Dept. of the Interior ... it’s only function at the Federal level should be arbitration between states that have some kind of interstate gripes (i.e. someone dumps crap into the Ohio River and some state along the Misissippi River isn’t happy about it). It should *NOT* be issuing edicts and enforcing “law” ... only arbitration.

Energy could also be folded into the Interior.

A similar strategy can be employed with the Dept. of Education ... each state has its own massive Education infrastructure ... point that out and ask why it’s redundant at the Federal level.

Energy could also be folded into the Interior.

I can think of only two legitimate DOE activities.

One is the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which should be Dept of Interior.

The other is Nuclear Weapons development which is a Dept of War function.
