I been thinking about this repeal and replace thing with that awful Affordable Care Act. While we’re waiting, indulge me.

How did we used to insure people for health insurance?

Oh yeah, they mostly used to get health insurance from their job. Employers, at least at the time, could get health insurance cheaper for having a large pool of customers of all ages. In these instances, pre-existing conditions were accepted and could be handled fiscally because a)these were people with a job so they weren’t old and inform and b)like I said, there was mostly enough of a variety of ages to handle all types.

Back in those days health insurance wasn’t so high as we didn’t have half our country illegal with no health insurance at all AND most doctor visits and such were very affordable.

Anyway, now there’s griping, of a sort, that Trump will bring back the guarantee of coverage for pre-existing conditions as well as that bit about being covered for health care under parental plans until age 26.

I will be the first to agree that these are two issues of great concern. By the way, I recently had a stent put in my leg, required a 45 minute procedure and one night in the hospital.

SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! Just for the hospital bill! ONE NIGHT!

No . People can’t afford this. But about half of that, eight grand, was probably to pay for the illegals down in th ER with colds and stuff.

Anyway, never mind the past. Pre-existing plans have got to be covered and that age thing probably can be accommodated. People 26 and younger are likely not using a bunch of health care.

So Trump’s not reneging on his promise, don’t listen to those fools.

And before health insurance wasn’t so high, it didn’t exist, and doctors cost much, MUCH less, and hospitals too. And then there was insurance but just for expensive things like hospital stays, surgeries etc.
