I don’t know if Trump would have run if Gay Marriage didn’t pass.
I think he knew if he came out for it, he wouldn’t be the nominee, but once it passed, it was off the table, so it didn’t matter anymore.
You can have a president who will get done what you want done, or
You can have a president who will say what you want him to say.

Trump was specifically asked the homosexual “marriage” question during the primaries and said his personal view was marriage is the union of one man and one woman. He went on to say he would honor the SCOTUS ruling. The 60 minutes leftist was trying to get Trump to say something the media could pound him over the head with. Same thing on the abortion question. Trump knows full well if he can get a couple more constitutions on the court that homo “marriage” and the right of a woman to murder her child will eventually fall. He’s right.
That is correct. No matter who is President its basically a fact that opposition to gay marriage is going nowhere politically in the USA anytime as far as the eye can see.
Salient point. And the GOP wanted it off the table as well for the same reason.
