This whole argument is stupid:
The job was to win the Electoral College.
Trump beat Clinton
If the job was to win the popular vote:
Trump would have beat Clinton.
Can’t change the rules after the race.
Moore is already demanding that we get rid of the electoral vote. Never mind that it would take a constitutional amendment.
Exactly. The nationwide popular vote is irrelevant under the rules of the game. As someone said a couple days ago, it’s like pointing out that the losing teams of the World Series scored more total runs than the winner team over the course of the series... might be interesting from a trivia standpoint but otherwise irrelevant since the rules require winning 4 games.

I’m glad you mentioned the electoral college - the founders were light years beyond Moore in intelligence, and the other sore-losers who now have the same meme - the founders (being visionaries) recognized; and made provisions for, the probability of highly populated counties/states Trumping the will of all Americans...
If we now abandon the electoral college; then California, New York and Texas would determine the outcome of ALL national elections.
In contemporary America; 146 counties out of 3 thousand counties nationwide hold 90% of the American population.
The leftist ‘progressives’ I have spoken to after the election have ALL said, “the electoral college is outdated and should be abandoned.”
Not one of them remembered that WJC didn’t win the popular vote - he was elected by and through the Electoral College system...
They can NOT change the rules in the midst of the game - GRRR!
Make America great again ~ Go, Trump, GO!
