It's about control. I posted about it some time ago, but it's something I've been paying attention to for a long time. Islam is an all-encompassing system of control over pretty much every aspect of its adherents' lives. There is no difference between church and state. The church IS the state and every aspect of political apparatus, including media and entertainment, is at least heavily influenced (if not outright controlled) by Islam. If there isn't a rule already, some Islam-approved imam will gladly make one. The mullahs will approve it, the state will enforce it, and the ummah better obey it, or else here comes the mutaween. Or worse.

Islam represents what every liberal dreams of. Control.
