They have Al Frankenstein as a Senator. ‘Nuff said. Oh, and my autocorrect added the “Frankenstein” bit, but it seems fitting, so I left it. ;-)
I just got Norm MacDonald’s new book, which is hilarious. He talks about how Franken wanted the Weekend Update slot and was more “savvy” about politics and all MacDonald could do was read cue cards. MacDonald told the produced he “knew people” who could make Franken a senator. Which was half-true. MacDonald knew some people, at least 25, but none of them could make anyone a senator.
But Franken went on to become a senator from Minnesota, “and was never heard from again.”
