God did not “withdraw” his hand; America bit it, spit on it, tried to chop it of and ran away from it.
Trump’s win among Catholics and evangelicals - despite his obvious foibles (all pols have them, but his are less camouflaged) - shows that the Spirit works in mysterious ways.
God is always there for us. His message has been the same since He took human form. Sometimes we listen. Maybe we are listening now. But we have to keep our ears open.

Agreed and that was the reason I believe He did remove His hand. Call it a fall from grace if you care to use another term.
