“A SCIF is much more secure than a typical FBI office.”
The lovely SCIF. My windowless home for 4 years when I wasn’t flying. How I don’t miss the freezing temperatures, the threat of halon fire extinguishers, or the armed over-eager E-1 SP/MP waiting for something to happen.
Our MP slots were E-4 except for the shift Sgts, and one SSG NCOIC.
It was one of our spec 4's who put a Brig. General up against the wall with a cocked .45 to his head. The silly ass 1 star thought that because he was a General he could enter the compound without being on our access list.
When the 1 star complained to his boss a 2 Star, the 2 star told him that he too had no access to the ASA compound, and that he's lucky he wasn't shot.
After that incident they were given a sanitized briefing by our Commander.
Many years later I witnessed a similar incident at a tactical field SCIF we'd set up to work a live mission.
