Trump should up the ante and work with Congress to end ALL federal largesse to cities. Period.
These people sound clueless to me. They refer to what PREVIOUS bills in Congress to stop funding have talked about. They are grossly under-estimating what I would define as “federal funds”. I would shut down EBT machines authorization for all machines in the zip code. Stop section 8 housing re-imbursement. Shut down the airports by having TSA refuse to allow anyone board planes and the air traffic controllers lock up the consoles. Stop authorizations for any medicaid or medicare treatment. Turn around cargo ships at the harbor because they cannot be cleared by Customs. Stop Social Security and Disability payments to residents.
Before I went to that extreme, I would check to see just which federal laws the mayor and other leaders are breaking and charge them with criminal conspiracy. If any of those laws involve looking the other way to employment of illegals, then the IRS can seize their personal bank accounts and their homes to pay the fines for tax fraud.
A billion - that’s just outrageous. People are tired of funding this crap against their values.
