That WOULD be a great job for Newt. He knows his way around, and he BALANCED THE BUDGET once before

I missed this (work has been hectic), but I pray this is true. Newt is a true visionary who has a great understanding of how our government works. His own Contract for America was a big success in the midst of what many believed to be total gridlock with Clinton as President. He did it despite being told he couldn’t.

This is the perfect role for Newt and the one that many of us wanted him to have.

Newt has stated this a couple of times. Maybe a “tzar” position if you will to accomplish this. I do not think he is interested in a cabinet position.

Yes, and I completely agree. This is Newt’s powerhouse and he understands the role. Not getting bogged down in minutia, as he put it (IIRC)
