George who?
the GOP had NOTHING to do with it.
if anything, they were working against the win
George Will has made himself completely irrelevant. He should shift over to covering baseball full-time as he has more credibility there. His political writings... no one cares anymore.
“cab” should be “can.”
I agree about early voting and voter fraud. But I don’t see how early voting can be eliminated. The message from the opposition will be that it disenfranchises voters.
It would be better to focus on the sanctity of voting machines, voter rolls, and voter ID laws.
Also, I live in Georgia. The numbers shocked me a little. I don’t think you can blame it on fraud here. There is a pretty rigorous voter ID process for early and day of voting. If anything, the Georgia process should be the voter ID model. — I’m not sure about the absentee process.

this guy...what a freakin’ whiny beotch!!!
That may be true now but I believe the GOP has a real shot at expanding its influence among these demographics. These are people and they care about themselves and their families first, as they should, not some political party. Economic prosperity is the key.
“Hes been wrong every step of the way. This so-called intellectual is an idiot.”
The MSM and establishment politicians were all wrong because they couldn’t see the Spirit at work here and the battlefront increasingly at war, the global NWO adherents are given over to that antichrist spirit at work in the world,
This is not a battle against flesh and blood and these kind like George Will, Mitt Romney, Bush 1,2 etc., have no way to see the Spirit of Truth,
How did this happen, “ . . That they all might be damned who believed not the truth”
2 Thessalonians 1-12:
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
JIM PESCHKE said Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 7:06 pm Couldn't agree more with Ed here. George Will, you and your ilk have come out of this election looking like complete petulant morons. Retire from writing columns; a broken magic 8-ball makes better predictions than you do.
The GOP is not at risk for having someone rise to power without being vetted by the Membership Committee of Mr. Will and Mr. McQuaid. The GOP is at risk if it promises and does not deliver. ...
I hope so. However, it is disappointing to see that our hopes of getting 16% plus of the Black vote did not materialize. Even after all of Trump’s outreach to them, it looks like the typical Republican share of 8% or so.
Bingo!
One of the very top priorities for the Trump Administration is to eliminate early voting and voter fraud. At the very minimum please eliminate early voting as that is fairly easy to justify according to the Constitution.
He is the loser that deserves to lose, and scorn heaped upon him. May he have a miserable next four years, the puke.
His only worthy purpose now might be to do baseball play by play for NPR.
Better if he preformed Seppuku
“In 2016, Republicans won a ruinous triumph that convinced them that they can forever prosper by capturing an ever-larger portion of an ever-smaller portion of the electorate.”
Now that is the strangest, most contradictory wrap up of an article I can remember reading.
He spent a good percentage of the article describing the defeat of Hillary’s ruinous policies.
Then he describes the demographic changes wrought by the policies that Hillary and democrats and Republican fellow travelers have wrought.
The he dumps in that conclusion despite the fact that Trump and his supporters have declared that the mindless demographic transformation of America will stop.
George Will has lost his mind.
I’m tired of pansy pajama boy types in the Gov’t, we need strong decisive leaders to join with Trump.
As for George, Bill and the rest of these pathetic losers in the media - time to let both of the marbles descend and start acting like grown Men. We’ve got a shit ton of leftist media that will be attacking Trump 24/7 from here forward - George (or should we call you Susan, Michelle, Lisa, whatever) get on the train or shut up.
If we all want to make America great again, we’re not going to get there by being passive. Certainly not going to get there by being an a-hole like George.
It is a mistake to disregard vote fraud just because Trump won.
I think fraud was much more rampant than we believe, just not enough to overcome the massive vote Trump received.
Will - The moving finger writes, and having writ moves on, perhaps soon to inscribe this: In 2016, Republicans won a ruinous triumph that convinced them that they can forever prosper by capturing an ever-larger portion of an ever-smaller portion of the electorate.
This kamikaze arithmetic of white nationalism should prompt the President-elect to test his followers devotion to him by asking their permission to see the national tapestry as it is and should be.
ez - Actually, Will is predictably myopic once again. Trump not only captured a large percentage of the white vote, but increased the GOP share of black and latino votes. This sort of outreach must be the wave of the future. It is insulting to assume that these people are monolithic lemmings who all vote the same way and not thinking Americans capable of realizing what is in their own self interest. Get lost, dinosaur.
