The league has seen its television ratings plunge this season, something that Goodell has said is related to a number of factors, including....

Dear NFL dullards,
You decided to mix politics with football, at the urging of the left.
Please expect half of your fanbase to disappear.
That is all.

They can’t be this stupid. Can they? We’re slapping them down and they blame it on ads and time?

Remember, these are liberals we're talking about. They invent their own reality and refuse to consider anything else. Why else would we have hundreds of Soros funded mongrel protesters tearing up their neighborhoods?

The PGA is expanding their business to the south of the boarder while golf is fading big time in my part of the country. Had one course in the area just close down and a couple more are in trouble. Seems like their priorities are misplaced. Make golf great again!

Progressives are blinded by their ideology. However, if things don’t turn around, look for them to beg RUSH LIMBAUGH to return as a commentator.

The Bob Costas anti-gun screed was the beginning of the end for me. The thuggish Richard Sherman disrespect of his opponent after a victory was strike two, and the Kaepernick affair was the final straw. I no longer set Sundays aside for football but try to find something to do with my girl, and life has been better for it. I don’t need a bunch of anti-Christian, anti-American millionaires telling me what I should think. Screw them.

Perhaps the former fans got fed up with the political, racist, anti-American behavior the NFL has been allowing to take over the league? I for one am one that tuned out, and continue to encourage my family and colleagues to do likewise. This includes boycotting games (TV and in person), radio telecasts, and the sponsors of this ancient Rome "Bread and circus's" crap.

I am voting with my wallet...

Note: the same is true for NCAA and ACC sports as well...

Will no longer watch Pardon The Interruption on ESPN and I’ve watched from the start. Wednesday’s opening was the last straw in a long history of straws. Just enjoyed it too much to give it up. Until now. Lifelong SI subscriber too until several years ago when they went full homo. Dropped another thing I had enjoyed, for decades in it’s case.

Wilbon and Kornheiser have let their politics and their friendly relationship with obozo - I believe they have both golfed with him numerous times - infect the show. It started out light and witty and funny. No more.

As for SI, I hear you. There is not an article anymore that doesn't jam in some fawning reference to obozo and almost every issue hits the gay-transgender issues. In a for-viewpoint of course. Add to that that back in the day SI featured outstanding writers - Dan Jenkins and Frank Deford to name two - but now... more a bunch of SJWs than sportswriters (I do like Alan Shipnuck on golf). I let my subscription lapse last year.

While the length of the games is probably a factor, the main thing is the politicization of the NFL. In particular, while the overt alignment with BLM and certain other SJW movements is fairly recent, the NFL has for year been genuflecting to the goddesses of feminism. I think many men are tired of know-nothing female “commentators” and “reporters” who contribute nothing but, perhaps, a little T & A, but often not even that. Then there’s the insistence that players wear pink to show they “care” about “women’s issues”. And then there’s the promotion of the sodomite lifestyle. Who can forget how the NFL forced the Rams to draft the insufficiently talented Michael Sams so that the NFL could show that it was “inclusive” and loved faggotry. As for Goodell, there is much to be said, but the treatment of Brady was a disgrace. Evidently Goodell flunked chemistry and physics, so he didn’t understand the gas laws. Of course, I suspect he ultimately understood that cold temps decrease pressure, but he wanted to punish Belichek, and Brady was just a pawn. The NFL is just another reason to CUT THE CABLE!

No Lady GaGa Super Bowl half-time show! She should be on her way to Canada with Lena Dunham et al by then anyway. Boycott the Super Bowl.

Now that the election is over, what excuse will they have when the ratings stay low?

As we often say, A CF has many fathers.

Anti-American displays during the National Anthem.

The absolute stupidity and childish nature of “Deflate Gate”.

Piling on rule after rule making it almost impossible for the referees to referee.

Games are too long.

Thursday night football is an oversaturation as are games in England.

Thugs doing thug stuff which becomes news.

I probably missed a few, but there you go.

It has taken a big dive since he has been in office. Number of full time players are down big time. Obamacare probably has something to do with it.

Yes let the NFL go down. They deserve it. This is what happens when PC goes to the extreme.

ESPN and Goodell have only themselves to blame.

Excellent point. I enjoy the college game, and as an SEC ‘homer’- I look forward to Missouri losing now.

Note to Goodell:

You chose to put Tom Brady on the bench for an UNPROVEN charge of deflating a football-—for 4 games-—

AND you don’t say one peep about your spoiled players who cannot stand up for OUR National Anthem>

IT IS NOT YOUR PERSONAL FLAG, GOODELL—THAT FLAG MEANS SOMETHING TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO BUYS A TICKET OR WATCHES FROM HOME.

You have chosen poorly, and we are disgusted with your choices, Goodell.

Especially the 49er’s. They just built a VERY expensive stadium & they cannot fill it with the jerk wearing #7 sitting down during the anthem.

When I see a picture of a former MARINE in full dress uniform missing both legs in a wheelchair who manages to raise himself up with only his arms for the singing of the National Anthem while Kapaernick hangs his head & sits on the bench, I want to slap the crap out of Kap.

I am 76 & female & I bet I can knock his stupid a## to the ground!!
