We should hope and pray that the GOP House is stronger and more conservatively focused than to choose Ryan as its leader going into the Trump Administration.

And if they are not, we should hope and pray that any democratic forces that can be mustered—from constituent pressure to pressure from the White House—keeps him far better on the straight and narrow conservative path than his deceitful jockeying over the past eight years.

If it happens, this is how it should be done and there is some very real anger towards Ryan on his side of the aisle.

My point is simple and people can take it or leave it. As much as I dislike Ryan (guarantee it’s as much as you both dislike him) this is Trump’s decision and it will come at a great cost if he chose to do this. You won and now your party will control government. This is an incredible opportunity!

Why would Trump start a civil war with the 2nd most powerful man in America who is in your own party? Would this not confirm the hysteria about him to his opponents?

Trump has a plan and he will not be shy about implementing it and calling people out who oppose it, but he is going to give people a chance. A President only gets so much coin to spend and you have to spend it wisely. Trump will not go down this road unless they force him to do so after he is in office.

We won! He hit the right notes in his speech last night. Hillary said the right thing today in hers (for the most part). Obama gave a great address from the Oval Office. Ryan said the right things even as I glared at him. McConnell is saying the right stuff and he (shocked me) held his ground on the replacement for Scalia.

We won! This is not the day or the time to pull out the daggers. I won’t forget what Ryan did (he should have listened to Newt), but Trump will give him a chance. He won’t blow his coin on Paul Ryan unless Ryan obstructs his mandate and agenda.
