Trump does not look at politics that way, i.e., “Ryan helped me win Wisconsin therefore I will reward him with the speakership.”

At least I hope not; that’s the opposite of the man I thought I was voting for.

Loyalty is different than quid pro quo.

Whatever influence Trump has over who is speaker and other key leadership spots, I hope he uses it to choose people who will drain the swamp, and do so aggressively, relentlessly, ahead of schedule, under budget, and according to the constitution.

That is not Paul Ryan. If Trump starts appointing people because he owes them, that will be the first indication that he’s just another politician cutting deals.

I don’t think Trump is planning to dissappoint us with that kind of crap.

Now, saying nice things about Hillary, Rience, Putin or whoever, that’s fine - you schmooze, you make nice. The campaign is over, mend fences - but no favors, no compromises, no back room deals.

It isn't up to Trump to appoint the Speaker. He could steer things away from Ryan, but I don't think he will. I guess we'll see.

It could be that Hannity is correct and the House of Representatives will put forth their own new Speaker. Again, I guess we'll see.

I would be very disappointed if we see the usual back room deals. Ryan & McConnell don’t know how to operate any other way.

Perfect, and bears repeating.
