In all honesty, I was a Cruz supporter for the first 2/3rds of the primary season. However, despite Cruz’s conservative credentials and book-smarts, I came to the conclusion that he is unelectable because of his smugness; because he reminded me of the kid we all hated in high school — the smartass kid who kissed the teachers’ ass and always shouted out the answers, if only to show everyone that he is the smartest kid in the class. But once I jumped on the Trump-Train, I went all in, and preached for his cause to anyone who would listen and to quite a few people who thought I was crazy. When I was reminded of Trump’s flaws, I responded that we all have flaws, and because of those flaws, most of us become a better person. And that’s one of the big differences between Trump and Clinton: He evolved for the greater good; while she remained stuck in her own ego and pathology.
In my opinion, the turning point of the campaign is when Clinton called us “deplorables.”
A biggie, for sure.
