Deplorable is all the interest-peddling and pay for play going on in our Imperial City of Washington, DC. The K Street lobbyists, all the highly paid no show patronage jobs with bizarrely gold-plated benefits paying them more in “retirement” annually than most Americans would see in two or three years at their peak earnings, the politicized agencies targeting private sector citizens, I could go on and on. That’s DC, they’ve been on a massive roll all through what has been a flat out depression for much of the country, never felt a thing, never felt a moment’s empathy or even pity for the people they were destroying out in the hinterlands.
