It won't be a bellwether this year. It is Joe Biden's home region but will be a complete disaster for Hillary Clinton. The only real question in PA is whether Clinton can get enough inner-city votes in Philadelphia to offset catastrophic losses around the rest of the state.

Just look at the past 6 weeks of polling in Michigan. This is what you would call a “freefall”. And remember, Trump and/or his VP, surrogates and family have been to Michigan many more times than Camp Clinton...they have a perfect message for the working class and the AA communities.

I definitely get your point, but it could be that the “news” was not really news anymore.
Trump had laid the groundwork for this kind of move all the way to the first debate in the primaries. Remember when he said “I will not let Americans die in the street over lack of healthcare”. He had placed himself in the strangest place in politics....super conservative on border, trade and immigration issues AND super liberal on healthcare issues!
As it turns out all these issues speak to the concerns of the middle class, union and AA communities. I understood right away what he was doing, I just wasn’t sure he could get away with it. He played the trifecta and might just win it!
