I can't remember a time when the Republican was ahead in any publicly available poll on Election day since Reagan in '84.

Some polls had Romney up in 2012 and I believe most polls had Bush ahead in 2004. I even think Bush was up in most of the final 2000 polls, but the DUI thing happened in the final weekend.

and the last average poll numbers just before election day in 1980 had Reagan up by just 3 and he won by 10.. the blue collar Reagan DEMOCRATS came out in big numbers and were missed in the polling.. if that happens to any decent degree with Trump he’ll win
