54 Save us, O God, by Your name;
And vindicate us by Your [wondrous] power.

Hear our prayer, O God;
Listen to the words of our mouth.

For strangers have risen against us
And violent men have sought our life;
They have not set God before them. Selah.

Behold, God is our helper and ally;
The Lord is the sustainer of our soul [my upholder].
5
He will pay back the evil to our enemies;
In Your faithfulness destroy them.
6
With a freewill offering we will sacrifice to You;
We will give thanks and praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
7
For He has rescued us from every trouble,
And our eye have looked with satisfaction (triumph) on my enemies.
Amen!
One of my favorite prayers (especially in our time of fight and battling the evil):
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
