Often such motions are simply a way of taking the pressure off government over an issue, without having to actually do anything about it. That’s often enough to mollify activists, until some other shinny object catches their eye.
However, this motion does reveal some disturbing things about the Lieberal mindset. It is also likely to be seen as a signal to the various Human Rights Commissions (a perfectly Orwellian name for those fascistic bodies). Expect fines and worse for anyone found “guilty” of harbouring bad feelings toward Islamist terrorists and their fellow travelers.
