I teach in a heavily Democractic/minority district on Long Island, NY. My teaching assistant is an African-American woman in her mid 70’s (yes, 70’s). We never talked politics until we were hanging up my election bulletin board. She said I should put a paper over Hillary’s face on the poster so we don’t have to look at her. She then said her and her husband are voting for Trump. She knew about the issues(email, Clinton Foundation etc.)and how the media is protecting her. She told me Trump has a lot of support in the black churches and many are praying and fasting for him. If he flips enough of the black vote, he will win!
He’s going to win.
