After reading 156 posts I would only add the ISLAMIC COMPONENT to the equation.
Even if the male percentage of the 1.6 billion Muslims is only 40% (640 million) and only 40% of those believe Mohammad marrying a 6 year old girl is proof positive that Allah believes in child brides.

That’s a good point. Do away with age/gender restrictions on marriage or it’s not ‘Equal Protection’ will be their argument - like some Mormon sects are doing now with polygamy.
