I think the bubble has burst for football. I’m glad Frank Gifford is not around to see it.
It was bad enough that it morphed into “touch football” with pink all over the uniforms...
This past Sunday I noticed a couple of MLS games on during the NFL games; smart of them to realize they might pick up viewers who were tired of watching a couple of hours of commercials interspersed with literally MINUTES of play. US soccer is second-rate, but at least has no commercials - the game will be over in two hours (and they are 90 minutes long, unlike the 60 minute NFL games stretched into 3 1/2 hour commercial-thons).
